Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American stage actress and producer, is well-known for her role in the feature film Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue is l. Ellis, an American actor and producer who has performed in theatre and television as well, is present in both the film and theater screen. Her career began with theater, and was later featured in numerous shows on television as well as independent and mainstream movies. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she received critical acclaim and various nominations and awards, including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. In 1995 she debuted in the role of Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. On Broadway she's appeared as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Her film career is highlighted through her roles on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. The role she played as a character in ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
